  • In-Sync Sleep: Understanding Sleep from 0-6 months

    Sleep (or a lack thereof!) is one of the biggest challenges for most parents. Learn an intentional approach to infant sleep based in developmental science and regulation, developed by Randi Johnson. We’ll cover:

    - What sleep actually looks like in the first 6 months

    - Understanding why babies sleep the way they do

    - Tips and tricks for the first 6 months to optimize sleep and lay the foundation for healthy sleep habits.

    This 90 minute, in-person class is for both pregnant folks and new families. Babies welcome!

  • Trusting Sleep: A Biology-Based Approach to Sleep from 6-12 months

    Learn how to establish healthy sleep habits, teach your baby how to sleep independently, and get everyone more sleep without "Cry it Out.”

    We focus on an intentional approach to infant sleep based in developmental science and regulation, developed and taught by Randi Johnson.

    This 90 minute, virtual workshop is offered one evening per month so you can get the info you need without having to find a sitter (and maybe even while your baby is sleeping!).

  • The Emotion Toolkit: For Parents of Toddlers

    Join Randi Johnson for a three class series all about unlocking toddler emotions, regulation, creating pathways and riding waves. Understand why toddlers meltdown, why punishment doesn't work and learn developmentally appropriate strategies for navigating it all. 

    Meeting 1: This 90 minute, virtual session will set the groundwork for understanding toddler neurobiology, regulation and parenting strategies

    Meeting 2: Let’s practice! We’ll gather in-person to put techniques into action, learn new skills, and ask questions.

    Meeting 3: One hour, virtual session to circle back up and discuss how to move forward with what you’ve learned about these strategies, yourself, and your kiddo.

  • Early Birds: Playgroup for Pre-Walkers and Families

    Join other parents and babies every other Saturday to build community, get support, and learn about child development and ways to play with your baby from Child Development Specialist Randi Johnson. 

    Each meeting will loosely focus on a different topic, repeated every four sessions:

    - Parenting with intention 

    - Regulation: Building a foundation

    - Baby Sign Language

    - Leaps and sleep regressions: survival guide

    Bring your questions and curiosity about how babies grow and why they do what they do!

  • Tuning In: Understanding Your Baby in the First 6 Months

    Learn all about infant development in the first six months of life with pediatric physical therapist Sucheeta Merchant, DPT. Each session will feature activities and play ideas to help support movement and exploration, simple daily practices to foster secure attachment as well as connect with your baby. 

    We’ll cover:

    - What to expect: milestones, timelines

    - How not to worry

    - Sorting online information from disinformation

    - Recognizing and supporting your baby's unique developmental timeline

    - Reclaiming your intuition in a noisy digital world

    This four week series meets on Mondays, 10-11:15.

  • Infant Massage

    Infant Massage

    Bring your baby and learn how to connect and communicate through touch in this 90 minute class, taught by Rose Phelan, RN, IBCLC, CEIM, CST. For pre-crawlers and up to two of their grownups.

    There’s plenty of space for tending to your baby if they need to eat/take a break/feel their feelings/get a diaper change: we get it!

    Infant massage can help baby with:

    - Muscular development & growth

    - Gas & colic relief

    - Improving sleep patterns

    - Stimulating and soothing the nervous system

    - Boosting psychological and social development

    We will go over creating a calm atmosphere, specific massage techniques for baby, applying correct pressure, and tuning in to your baby’s cues. Families will go home with supplies and info for use at home!

  • Introducing Solid Foods

    Introducing Solid Foods

    Tips for navigating the what, when, and how of starting your baby on solid foods.

    Topics include:

    - Baby-led weaning, spoon-feeding, and everything in between

    - Understanding the developmental signs of readiness for solid foods

    - How to make feeding fun and engaging for babies and their parents

    - The division of responsibility for feeding babies and children

    - Current AAP guidelines for feeding solids (with or without continued breastfeeding)

    - Food suggestions

  • Preparing to Return to Work

    Preparing to Return to Work

    Make the back to work transition easier for you & your baby!

    Topics include:

    - When/how to begin pumping

    - Figuring out how much milk your baby needs

    - Talking to your caregivers about appropriate bottle feeding

    - Maximizing pumping efficiency while at work

    - Avoiding milk production pitfalls

    Also available for an additional fee: personal flange fittings and pump testing. Please get in touch to schedule a fitting.

  • Pediatric First Aid and CPR

    Pediatric First Aid and CPR

    This 3-hour class is for anyone working with kiddos (parents, caregivers, grandparents, etc), and includes practice in the skills of CPR and First Aid for infants and children up to twelve years of age. Learn to respond quickly and competently in an emergency. Get hands-on practice, with the focus on preventing accidents and building your skills and confidence as a rescuer.

    Practice what to do in cases of choking, drowning, poisoning, head injuries, bleeding, seizures, burns, and allergic reactions.

    Handouts provided. Taught by Anna Griffin (retired 20-year EMT)
