Supporting a dear friend’s birthing process opened my heart and soul to the intense beauty and obvious miracle birthing-parents experience when a new life is brought into the world. Soon after, witnessing my friends’ profound transition from people to parents left such an impression on me that I felt the call to support others in this process.
Now, I utilize my training as an Ayurvedic practitioner to support families postpartum. According to traditional Ayurvedic medicine, the first six weeks postpartum are essential for the bonding between newborn and parents, as well as the healing of the birthing-parent. As a long-time educator (yoga since 1999, elementary school, meditation, and Ayurveda) I love the process of teaching my families while serving them.
In 2020, I finally became a parent and I get to use my training directly in my own home with my own daughter. Through birthwork, I have finally combined my experience, talents, training, and passions. It is a joy to educate expecting parents about what to expect and how to navigate the unexpected.
