Loving Arms Childbirth Services
Jessica Christen, Licensed Midwife, CPM, has been honored to be supporting families birthing their babies since 2007. She has worked in private home birth practices, free-standing birth centers as well as supported families needing or choosing to birth in the hospital. Since 2012 she has been caring for her own clients, supporting them from prenatal care through birth and the postpartum period.
She very is passionate about evidence informed, gentle, unhindered birth, however being on-call has its own challenges. After becoming a mother to her own two children, much soul-searching and consideration she has decided to move away from on-call birth work to focus on teaching Childbirth Education, providing in-home postpartum midwifery care and becoming an IBCLC. She is currently enrolled in a lactation education program through UC San Diego and grateful to intern with Molly Brannigan, learning from her years of experience as an IBCLC.
When she’s not busy studying, supporting families and teaching, she’s having fun in the kitchen trying new recipes, tending to her vegetable garden, practicing yoga, hiking, traveling and spending time with her sweet children and husband.
